Probance One allows you to control how often the same product can be recommended to the same contact, thanks to the pause feature for selected products. When a product is paused after being recommended to a contact, it cannot be suggested to them again for a defined period. This helps avoid excessive repetition of the same suggestions and improves the customer experience through more varied recommendations.
This tutorial will explain how to configure the pause of selected products in your campaigns.
1. General overview
Pausing selected products means temporarily quarantining products that have been pushed to the recipient through the personalized offer for a set period. During this time, these products cannot be recommended again to that same contact.
For each campaign that includes a personalized offer, you can:
- Enable/disable the pause of selected products: When enabled, the products selected for each recipient will be paused for the duration you define.
- Enable/disable the exclusion of paused products: When enabled, products currently paused for a recipient will automatically be excluded from their future recommendations. If disabled, paused products may still be suggested to the contact.
Note: A personalized offer must be configured in the campaign to access this option. If that’s not the case, refer to our guides on configuring recommendation rules and integrating known products for each recipient.
2. Enable the pause of selected products
- In your campaign configuration page, go to the Personalized Offer section and click Edit.
- Click on Advanced options.
- In the row corresponding to your rule, switch the Pause after sending toggle to Enabled.
- In the input field, define the number of days during which the products will remain paused.
- Click Apply.
- Click Save to confirm your changes.
3. Enable the exclusion of paused products
- In your campaign configuration page, go to the Personalized Offer section and click Edit.
- Click on Advanced options.
- In the row corresponding to your rule, switch the Paused products toggle to Exclude.
- Click Apply.
- Click Save to confirm your changes.
