General overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The purchased product quarantine is a mechanism that temporarily withholds products purchased by each recipient for a defined period of time, allowing you to exclude them from the selections generated by the personalized offer in both automated and newsletter campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This exclusion helps prevent recommending products that the recipient has already purchased, and also avoids suggesting products that are no longer &#8220;necessary&#8221; based on cart or browsing behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When a product is purchased by a contact, it is placed in purchase quarantine for <strong>180 days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For each campaign that includes a personalized offer, you can choose to enable or disable the exclusion of quarantined products. When this option is enabled, any product currently in quarantine for a recipient will automatically be excluded from their personalized selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-note is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> The personalized offer must be configured on the campaign to access this option. If not, refer to our guides on <a href=\"https:\/\/doc.probance.com\/en\/knowledge-base\/including-personalized-product-recommendations-into-your-emails\/?autologin=start\">setting up recommendation rules<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/doc.probance.com\/en\/knowledge-base\/including-products-or-items-viewed-by-recipients-into-your-emails\/?autologin=start\">integrating known products<\/a> for the recipient.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Enable the exclusion of purchased products<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the campaign configuration page, go to the <strong>Personalized Offer<\/strong> section and click <strong>Edit<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <strong>Advanced options<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the row corresponding to your rule, switch the toggle in the <strong>Quarantined products<\/strong> column to <strong>Exclude<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Apply<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Save<\/strong> to confirm your changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div id=\"wpmem_restricted_msg\"><p>This content is restricted to site members.
